Philosophy

The best homes are edited, not assembled.

Most renovations end up as a collage — a cabinet line here, a tile from there, a chandelier the homeowner liked online. The rooms work, but they don't sing. Our work sings because we treat the whole house as one composition: a tight palette of materials we love, a small number of moves done very well, and the discipline to leave the rest alone.

Underneath the aesthetic is real construction expertise. We hold MHIC (pending) and builder licensing in Maryland, carry full insurance, run permitted work, and bring an architect, structural engineer, and energy consultant onto the projects that need them. The result is a studio that's both taste-driven and technically rigorous — rare in this category, and the reason clients come back for the next house.

What we believe

Five quiet convictions.

These are the rules we don't break. They explain why our projects look the way they do — and why our clients sleep through their renovations.

01

Restraint

The best luxury homes feel inevitable. Fewer materials, larger moves, no decoration that has to apologize for itself.

02

Craft

Trades we've used for years. Mockups before commitments. Stone templating on-site. The boring stuff that makes the finished room sing.

03

Honesty

Fixed-scope estimates before demo. Weekly photo updates. Bad news delivered early. No surprises is the whole game.

04

Aging Well

Materials chosen for how they look in year five, not year one. Unlacquered brass, honed marble, real wood.

05

Selectivity

A small calendar of projects each year so every client gets the principal's attention from first sketch to final walkthrough.
